Meet Mechelle Cox

Mechelle provides Early Intervention Services in Anderson County.

I was born and raised in Anderson, SC. For the last 10 years, my husband and I have lived in Pendleton, SC. Together, we have two beautiful daughters and three dogs. My family is my whole world. When I am not spending time with them, I am curled up with a good book, watching a movie, or doing something outside.

Education:

• Bachelors of Science with a major in Early Childhood and Family Studies from Southern Wesleyan University

I have always had a heart for helping children. I have been in the early childhood field for 9 years and have worked with children of all ages. While working in a preschool, an early interventionist came in to work with one of my children and I was able to see how she was able to help him in so many ways. I wanted to know how I could help children the way she was. That was when I decided to go back to school and get my bachelors degree. I loved teaching the children in a classroom setting, but I wanted to be able to help the children and their families on a more personal level. What better way to help than to become an Early Interventionist! I am very excited to start on this journey with you! I cannot wait to love and serve your family!!
