Meet Kayla
Kayla provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County.
:Hello. My name is Kayla. I am a 29 year old mother of a rambunctious 5 year old boy. I am from Pelzer, SC and have lived there my entire life outside of college. I am a devoted Christian and strive to please the Lord in everything that I do. I love to work with people and to help others in need. I love to spend time with my family and stay connected in the church. I am looking forward to working at Tiny Feet and seeing the impact that I may have on those in my community. I am a loud and outspoken person and while I like to joke around I am also very compassionate and caring.
Background
Education:
I graduated in 2016 from Lander University with a B.S. in Psychology. I plan to go back to school in summer 2024 to get my Master Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Southern Wesleyan University..
I have always tried to find opportunities to work with people. I have volunteered at my church nursery, with sexual assault victims, and in Youth Ministry at my current church.
I previously worked at SCDSS in Pickens County for approximately four and a half years. During that time I was able to see how Early Intervention helped in a specific case where the twins I worked with met their DSS goals. Goals that the doctors stated that they would never meet. I was drawn to the Early Intervention position due to my desire to have a positive impact in the lives of a family who may have doubts about their ability to help their child meet their milestones.
