Meet Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County.

Hey! My name is Kaitlyn Vasquez and I am a born and bred Floridian! I grew up in a tiny, central Florida town called Sebring. I graduated from Florida State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities. I moved to Greenville in 2014, I met my (now) husband and decided to stick around! In 2015, my husband encouraged me to follow my passion of working with children with disabilities, so I enrolled in Converse College to study Special Education and earned my Master’s in Teaching in 2018. We are now a family of 3 with a daughter named Everly and we live in Simpsonville with our dog and 3 cats. In my spare time, I read, crochet, put puzzles together, and do crossword puzzles, but my passion that I dedicate the most time to, is animal rescue. I have volunteered with many local and out-of-state rescues to foster and provide information about community resources for low-cost pet care. I am currently in the process of receiving my certification in wildlife rescue, specifically squirrels and possums, to assist in rehabilitation and release.

My very first job working with children came as an after-school day care teacher. After that, I moved through the education department quickly and bounced from after school daycare, to lunchroom monitor, to substitute teacher, and I finally settled in a sign-language interpreter position for a hard-of-hearing child. I fell in love with the position and decided to pursue my Master’s degree in Special Education. I worked within Special Education in Greenville County, at all grade levels, for about 10 years. After a while I began to feel like I had a greater calling to work more closely with families to assist in supporting children with disabilities. With Tiny Feet Early Intervention I have found my purpose!
