Meet Alayna White
Alayna provides Early Intervention Services in Greenville County
Hello! I am a South Carolina born and bred. I grew up in the Rock Hill/York area. In 2014 my family and I relocated to Columbia, SC, and I graduated from Spring Valley High School in 2016. I attended the University of South Carolina-Upstate and completed my BA in 2020. While at Upstate, I served as a Student Ambassador, Peer Leader, Mentor, and volunteered in numerous school and civic initiatives. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, shopping, listening to music, reading, and most importantly serving and loving others just as God loves me. I am a people person and love to be the sunshine on a rainy day! My life motto is to “Laugh, Cry, Heal, and Carry On!”
Background
Education: BA in Child Development` and Family Studies
I decided to pursue a career in Early Intervention because of my love for children and my desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. I am driven and motivated by my faith and firmly believe that when God has a calling on your life, you must obey and trust his plan for you. I am here at Tiny Feet to make a difference. I started volunteering and interning at the daycare I attended as an infant at 12 years old while also serving as an assistant in VBS and the children’s church ministry. At the age of 14 I was a mentor for the Worthy Boys and Girls Camp and slowly began to understand my calling. In high school I was a teacher cadet and was awarded the Teacher Cadet Scholarship out of 15 candidates. As a peer leader mentor, I had the opportunity to welcome incoming freshmen USC Upstate t0 the University 101 class, which allowed me to connect with several students on campus and establish lifelong relationships. I was employed at two childcare centers during my college years, and both ended due to school responsibilities. After school I returned home for 2 years and worked as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Employee and part-time Specialty Team Trainer at Target. I missed serving and assisting those in need, so I decided to return to my calling to mentor our most vulnerable. I know my purpose in life, I know my calling, My desire is to participate in helping those that I serve find theirs without regard to the challenges that may be before them.
